Oh, Kyp and other people don't really mix. But there are some he actually kind of likes and hangs around with -- some who can stand the man. Here's a look at how he gets along with some and how others view him.
Han Solo - Kyp's father figure for the time after we meet the boy. Kyp helps save Han and Chewbacca's life from a large and icky spider (in pitch black mines, zomg!) during the Kessel Mines incident, and Han takes a liking to the boy's spunk and attitude. He even took Kyp on a ski trip. Semi-family bonding time!
Anakin Solo - Kyp liked the boy because they roughly throught along the same lines. Any suggestion Anakin came up with, Kyp would agree with, if only cause he could see himself saying the same thing. So when Anakin got killed on Myrkr, Kyp became a bitter old man towards Jacen Solo.
Jacen Solo - Bitch Boy fights galore. While Jacen dithers along about his Force tactics and such, Kyp runs headlong into anything he can get his grubby meathooks on -- employing heavily aggressive tactics and not worrying about his use of the Force. Jacen doesn't seem too happy about this, Kyp doesn't seem to happy about Jacen and the air burns when their eyes lock.
Jaina Solo - And much as she hates to admit it, Durron holds a snarky little place in her horomonal little heart. She was briefly his apprentice, but got pissed when he tricked her. Once she teetered on the dark side and came back, she re-apprenticed herself to Kyp, ultimately letting him win in the end of their little mental battle. Oh, Durron, you and your ways.
Leia Organa Solo - Whenever Kyp "hurts" Jaina in any way, Leia is all over Kyp's ass with warnings and such. He shaped up a bit after one such warning, not wanting to feel the wrath of Leia and became a much more stable person because of it. Aww, mommy figure in Kyp's lack-of-family life.
Luke Skywalker - Even though Kyp's ways are a little (and by a little, I mean a lot XD) different than the way Luke normally does things, he still sees Durron as a very strong Jedi. He also listens to his opinions and ideas -- doesn't mean he always follows them though.
Corran Horn - A match made in heaven hell, these two dislike each other with a fiery, intense passion. While Corran believes it's the Jedi's job to answer to the Galactic Alliance, Kyp believes their most important duty is to the whole Galaxy. When Corran was thrown into the leadershop role of the Jedi Order (much to Corran's revolts) while Luke was absent, Kyp pitched a bitch and pouted in a corner.
